Michele Hempel

LCSW, founder and sole proprietor of Clarity Counseling Center has over fifteen years experience in individual, couple and family therapy. Prior to earning her master's degree in social work at George William's College at Aurora University in 1993 her background included teaching early elementary school. Years before opening her private practice in Glen Ellyn she further developed her professional skills through working in various counseling programs at a large social service agency. Additionally, Michele has created and presented a multitude of workshops throughout the Midwest centering on the art of journaling and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Drawing from her knowledge and experience with journaling she also developed and taught an eleven week course entitled Journaling for Women at a local junior college.

Michele is an experienced and competent psychotherapist whose goal is to empower her clients to effectively resolve issues and make desired changes in their relationships and in their lives. Her genuine warmth and supportive, empathetic style help facilitate a trusting and healing client/therapist relationship.

Along with her masters' level concentration in Child and Family, Michele's areas of clinical focus include Relationship Dynamics, Women's Issues, and Family and Parenting Concerns.
